Ricky won the Texas State Fiddle Championship in 1980, and the World Championship in 1983. Ricky is a native Odessan and an accomplished musician, being honored as a distinguished former Odessan. He began playing the fiddle when he was ten years old. He has played with various artists, including Ray Price, Red Steagall, Michael Martin Murphy, and Steve Warner. Ricky is a member of the Sons of the Pioneers.
Ricky shares his music with his wife, Laurie and their daughters and their families.
